Ruben Amorim says Kobbie Mainoo must compete directly with captain Bruno Fernandes for a Manchester United starting spot. The 20-year-old England midfielder has not played in United's first two league games and was left on the bench in the 1-1 draw at Fulham. Amorim stuck to his shape, used Mason Mount in multiple roles, and turned to Ugarte late on. A League Cup tie against Grimsby now looks like Mainoo's next chance.
